PRINCIPAL: HOWARD M. MILLER, CPG, CHMM
Expertise
Mr. Miller’s primary job responsibility is to develop client relationships, evaluate strategies for environmental business management practices, and conduct projects with a primary emphasis on environmental due diligence, compliance, and facility operations. His objective is to reduce perceived and regulatory environmental liabilities for his clients. He has conducted projects under a wide range of federal and state environmental administrative regulations and statutes. He has extensive experience in applying technical fundamentals with risk-based evaluation methods.
Key Experience
Howard Miller has personally conducted and/or has been involved in the assessment evaluation of over 700 properties and has planned and managed over 300 contaminant investigations for property transaction due-diligence purposes in the continental United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
Additionally, he has conducted environmental, safety, and health compliance audits at many facilities across a wide range of industries and locations; conducted the assessment, investigation and/or remediation, with associated regulatory reporting, for approximately 65 natural gas transmission facilities in the continental United States; and has managed and/or led field activities of remediation oversight projects in many other contaminated media scenarios.
Howard has also researched environmental resources in the areas of geology, soils, groundwater and surface water for utility corridor and facility siting studies and permit applications under a FERC and state related context. He has researched over 32 proposed site locations and over 200 miles of proposed utility corridor. He has also contributed to the Groundwater Pollution Potential Map and Report for Henry County, Ohio.
